The creative process for making this song "SANKOFA" came from
The idea of two beats, one song. It was a combination of BEAT SOCIETY sample round and a conversation Hezekiah had in the studio with the legendary Stylistics and them explaining to him song arrangement. And how they used to take two different songs, slice and tape together reel to reel tape to make one great song. We should always learn from our elders.

Samplings from sax player Cannonball Adderley as he beatbox through his horn from a live record and adding vocal samples from master teacher Bro C Freeman El was pure magical. As Hezekiah handed the sample to Mr. Sonny James, the journey of SANKOFA began. This is Pure Art.
