Johnny Popcorn releases Totem Pole, the follow-up to their awesome debut album, The Crow. This new project takes a piece from rock, funk, hip-hop, blues and soul and meshes it all together in a goulash for any and every kind of music lover. Producer/vocalist Hezekiah, songstress Jani Coral, and guitarist and vocalist Lloyd Alexander are the star players of this fresh and soulful Philadelphia based band. Totem Pole explores valleys and peaks of emotion that mirror that of the human experience. As fierce as the music sounds, you’ll notice that the band is perfectly fine with not taking themselves too seriously. This record can best be described as
playful yet poignant; sophisticated yet funky. “Love the Abuse”, the lead single is
a stone cold rock infused groove that’s sure to move the listener. With tracks like “Fall,” “Emancipation”, and “What A Day” there’s raw emotion which is balanced
out by upbeat and catchy tunes like “Do What You Want,” and “GO GO GO.” Totem Pole invites you into the wonderfully weird world of Johnny Popcorn.
